White Chip Orange Dream Cookies are a reminder of a creamsicle bar.  They have a smooth texture and a creamy orange taste.  This is a nice change for a cookie.

White Chip Orange Dream Cookies I got this recipe several years ago from a neighbor who became a good friend. We were both young mothers and we had little daughters that were about the same age who also became good friends. My husband and I also had two younger sons. Her husband became good friends with my husband. She became a second mother to the three children that we had at that time. My children loved her and they loved to go across the street to her house. They knew where the cookie jar was and she always had cookies for them in the cookie jar. One afternoon we couldn’t find my three year old and when we went outside to see if he had gone outside we saw him inside her home standing in front of the picture window eating cookies and smiling. She was out working in the yard and the garage was open so he just went in through the garage and on into the kitchen. He climbed up on the cupboard and helped himself to a few cookies in her cookie jar. It was a sad day when my husband got transferred and we moved from there, but those are the kind of memories that we treasure. They are what make life what it is! I hope that each of you have had a good friend that has brought that kind of joy to your life and left memories for you to treasure, and maybe even a cookie recipe like these White Chip Orange Dream Cookies.
